Friends of Music

The Friends of Music Concert Series joins an excellent musical environment found in the Sanctuary of Myers Park Baptist Church with excellent musicians from the Charlotte area, from the USA, and from abroad. Music of all classical styles and cultures, when brought to life by true artists, allows each listener the opportunity to expand their horizons intellectually and emotionally.

......"The Merling Trio"
.......This concert is free and open to the public but donations will be accepted.

The Friends of Music series at MPBC presents The Merling Trio, a dynamic trio of instrumentalists from Western Michigan University. Featuring Susan Uchimura (piano), Renata Knific (violin), and Bruce Uchimura (cello), this trio continues to wow audiences throughout the United States and abroad with their magnificent precision and impeccable blend of sound. Since their debut at Carnegie Hall in 1993, the trio has won prestigious awards and have recorded extensively. The recordings will be sold after the concert in the foyer of Heaton Hall. This event is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
