Myers Park Baptist Church places these words on our order of worship: A Church dedicated to the glory of God in the service of humanity through worship, congregational care, Christian education and the stewardship of life. That phrase
"stewardship of life" is a crucial dimension of Christian discipleship. We
believe God calls everyone to creative partnership with God in the care of
creation and healing of the world. This involves the dedication of one's
life, talents and resources for the work of God in the world. All we are and
all we have are gifts from God. We then become joyful stewards and generous
givers of self, time and money. God wants persons and churches to make a
difference in the world. Come, help us make a difference.
