Journey into the Writer's Secret Garden II
A follow-up to the Journey into the Writers’ Secret Garden, this course deepens the work begun in the first series (though that class is not a prerequisite and no previous writing experience is needed).

Develop understandings of the hero’s journey in myth and storytelling, applying the structure and characters to your personal stories in memoir, fiction, poetry and drama. Expand on the metaphor of Secret-Garden-as-Creative-Space. Connect the voice of intuition with the writer’s voice on the page. Feed the muse using dreams and symbols as seeds for your work.

INSTRUCTOR:  Debra Moffitt's fiction and non-fiction essays and articles have appeared in publications in the US, Europe and Asia.  Her fiction, Depression Glass, was broadcast globally by BBC World Services Radio.  She presents workshops in the US and Europe on connecting writing with symbols and guiding values for self transformation.
