Sports Lessons (Individual): We offer private one on one-basketball, golf, volleyball and soccer lessons by appointment. Lessons are sold by the hour. Special package rates are available. For more information, contact the Cornwell Center at 704-927-0774, ext.601
Athletic Injury
Rehabilitation: By
appointment. Rehab a sports injury by learning various workout
routines that will strengthen and target multiple muscle groups by
working with a certified strength and conditioning coach
(includes 8 one-hour sessions). If

Kids Fitness:
By appointment. Ages 10-11. This will be a fun and exciting
program for kids that want to start to learn basic information on
fitness. Kids will go through a general orientation on how to
properly use the fitness equipment, develop proper exercising
techniques and gain valuable fitness knowledge by working one on one
with a certified fitness instructor. Class size will be limited so
please contact the Cornwell Fitness Center to sign up today after
the program is completed, they are allowed to come in with a
parent. A card is given at the end and must be presented to a
fitness instructor. Class is free.
Special Needs Training:
Work with a licensed Physical
Therapist who can help develop a fitness routine for anyone who may
need special assistance while working out. For more information,
please contact Jenny Yopp at 704-927-0774, ext. 601.
Teen Fitness:
By appointment. Ages 12-15. This
will be a fun and exciting program for teens that want to start a
fitness program. Teens will go through a one-hour orientation of
all the fitness equipment, learn proper exercising techniques and
gain valuable fitness knowledge by working one on one with a
certified fitness instructor. Contact the Cornwell Fitness Center to
sign up today. After a
teen has completed the program, they are allowed to come in with a
parent. A card is given at the end and must be presented to a
fitness instructor. Class is free.
MEET OUR PERSONAL TRAINERS
Melanie Vollmer
A certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, Melanie accepts clients by appointment. Please contact the Cornwell Center for information on how to reach Melanie.
Kevin Harper
A certified ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Health Fitness Instructor, NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and ACE (American Council on Exercise) personal trainer. Kevin earned his degree in exercise science from UNC-Wilmington where he also served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the women's soccer team and worked with members of the CAA conference champion track team. Kevin has worked with all populations from athletes to cardiac rehab patients.
Lyn Addy
A certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor through AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of America) and is certified through Yogafit and Zumba. Lyn has a diverse background in physical activities having graduated with a BA in Dance, competed in Lei Tai Fighting competitions and participating in long distance running events.
Jenny Yopp
A certified ACE (American Council Exercise) personal trainer and sport performance coach, Jenny has a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maine. Jenny has also coached college basketball for 15 years as an assistant and head coach. Some of her responsibilities included: coordinating strength training, conditioning, speed, quickness and agility training. In addition to coaching, Jenny also played point guard for North Carolina for four years.
